Wrapping Up the Electroculture Vegetable Season
As the growing season comes to an end, Mickey and Kathy reflect on the joy of sharing Hill’s Mill with their dedicated Farmer’s Market customers and visitors. Mickey takes great pleasure in imparting his electroculture expertise to aspiring gardeners, whether they’re young or seasoned, just starting out or familiar with the craft. He eagerly spends countless hours engaging with those curious about his impressive ability to cultivate a bounty of produce in a compact space.
While Hill’s Mill encompasses over 3 acres, including a scenic natural spring, the active growing areas total less than an acre, showcasing the exceptional efficiency of Mickey’s methods. Each season, he proudly harvests hundreds of baskets brimming with fresh fruit—apples, blackberries, peaches, and pears. The vegetable garden dazzles with a vibrant assortment of plump red tomatoes, all thriving under Mickey’s innovative Electroculture techniques. This visual feast, coupled with the delightful aromas, attracts not only customers but also local wildlife, fostering a rich ecosystem at the farm.
The smiles on departing customers’ faces, their bags filled to the brim thanks to Mickey’s generous suggestion of “one more for the road,” create cherished memories. Many enthusiastically share how they plan to utilize their garden-fresh treasures in upcoming meals and family gatherings. Each interaction deepens the sense of community and connection, making the end of the season both bittersweet and filled with hope for the next growing year.
